Resumo
The essay considers the place of remembered weather in our nostalgic recollections, and asks what are the hazards of amnesic adaptation to ‘the new normal’ as global climate changes. It suggests that the unchanging weather written into texts of the past will henceforth be interwoven with the unpredictable weather of the future, altering the way they are read.
